Combine two of Kenya’s finest game parks on this all-inclusive 4×4 safari. Stay at top-quality lodges inside Tsavo National Park and Amboseli National Park, enjoying sweeping views of the plains of Africa flanked by Mount Kilimanjaro.
We explore both wildlife parks on 4×4 game drives in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife found in these beautiful reserves of southern Kenya. Tsavo, best known for its lions, is one of Kenya’s oldest and one of the world’s largest reserves. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and close-range wildlife sightings with the majestic Kilimanjaro as a scenic backdrop.
Arrive at the Nairobi’s JKIA and after immigration formalities, head over to the luggage carousel to claim your luggage. A representative holding a paging board with your name will be waiting just outside the arrivals area to meet, welcome and and brief you on your safari to Tsavo West National Park in southeastern Kenya.
After about a three and a half hour drive we arrive at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, located inside the national park. We have lunch and settle in at the lodge, which offers sweeping views over the plains and a watering hole. Then we set off on our first 4×4 game drive in search of the wildlife found in Tsavo National Park, one of the hugest game parks in the world.
Back at the lodge it’s time for dinner and relaxing in the bar with your travel companions. The views reveal Kilimanjaro in the distance and game watching at the watering hole is excellent. At night you can hear the sounds of animals from your bed. Dinner and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. Meal Plan (Lunch, Dinner)
Wake up to views of the African wilderness and enjoy breakfast. Today we embark on 4×4 game drives, morning and afternoon, in Tsavo Park. On our game drives in this vast park you can expect to see plenty of animals roaming the arid plains.

All Meals and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge
Located on a ridge that commands magnificent sweeping views of the Chyulu Hills at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Kilaguni was the first safari lodge ever to be built in a national park and has long been a favourite of international tourists. It was opened in 1962 and has been under Serena management since December 1999.Taking its name from a Kamba word meaning ‘young rhino’, the lodge is located in the middle of the world-renowned Tsavo National Park: an area covering 20,720 square kilometres that boasts a huge population of elephants
Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts –
lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.
After breakfast, leave Tsavo West for Amboseli National Park.
After about an hour and a half we arrive at the famous Amboseli National Park, second only to Kenya’s Mara in popularity. We stay at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, tucked away in a grove of trees inside Amboseli. Lunch is followed by some free time to relax and enjoy the facilities at the lodge, which features a pool. Then we venture into this beautiful national park on an afternoon game drive, which usually offers close-up photographic opportunities of the wild animals. Lunch, Dinner at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
Nestled in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, hidden beneath a copse of giant acacia trees and beside a gently flowing natural spring lies Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. With Kilimanjaro’s 6,000-meter-high snow-capped peaks rising behind the lodge and presiding over the landscape, which boasts more big game than almost anywhere else in Africa, the setting is nothing short of magnificent. Inspired by local Masai architecture, the design of the lodge is in total harmony with the environment. Each guest room conveys a distinctive Masai Manyatta mood and is furnished with authentic African murals painted by a local artist.
Today, we will have a full day of game drives with picnic lunch, served at the Observation Hill. Amboseli National Park, like Tsavo, covers open plains and features low vegetation which make it easy to spot the animals. In the evening we return for dinner at the lodge, offering lovely vistas of Amboseli’s open grasslands and marshes with Mount Kilimanjaro as the majestic backdrop.
