Day 1

On arrival at the JKIA aboard flight …………, a Vacations Quest representative holding a paging board with your name will be waiting just outside the arrivals area to meet and welcome you to Nairobi, Kenya’s principal economic, administrative, and cultural center and is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in Africa.

Day 2

7:30am- Pick up from your residence, we drive further north to Samburu Game Reserve – the Kenya’s ruggedly beautiful, semi-arid lands of the Northern Eastern Province. Lunch at the lodge… After lunch, afternoon game viewing drive in the reserve. Dinner and Overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge/ similar- Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Samburu National Reserve – A place of endless skies, dust-red plains and palm-fringed rivers, Samburu National Reserve lies on the fringes of the vast and arid desert once known as the Northern Frontier District, whose heat-scorched scrublands extend all the way to the jade-green waters of Lake Turkana and beyond. Physically dramatic, the 104 sq kilometer landscape of the Reserve features rocky battlements, craggy scarps, dry river beds and fallen boulders rising out of the thorn scrub against a backdrop of the far-distant hills and the great red table mountain known as Lololokwi.

Day 3

Early morning game drive is followed by a late breakfast at the lodge. After which you enjoy an afternoon game drive through the forest of the Ewaso Nyiro River with very good chances of sporting elephants. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge/ similar- Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 4

After breakfast we drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. One of the four private game reserves in Kenya, Sweetwaters excels in the provision of privileged seclusion and private game viewing. Home to all the BIG 5, the conservancy has the largest wildlife to area ratio compared to any other Kenyan National Park. It also houses the only Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Kenya and the largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa. We visit these during our game drive. Check in followed by lunch. We laze and gaze at the animals that come to drink at the waterhole located just opposite our tent and by evening we head out on a game drive. Day 5

After breakfast, it’s an hour’s drive to cross the Equator where we experience the Coriolis Effect on either side of the earth’s hemisphere. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park via Thompson’s Falls Lunch will be served at the lodge. This afternoon we take a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park often described as the world’s biggest ornithological spectacle. This lake is famous for its flocks of over one million Greater and Lesser Flamingoes. The abundance of these birds is due to the alkaline mineral salts in the water, which support vast blooms of the blue green algae and diatoms on which the flamingoes feed. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes. Day 6

After breakfast, leave for Masai Mara…

The Masai Mara game reserve, a 1,500 sq. km slab of open Savannah dotted with acacia trees-the Kenyan section of the wildly beautiful Serengeti plains, teems with wildlife. Being in the Mara has been described by some authorities as ‘’ being in the New York of the natural world’’ You will spend the next 03 nights here to explore. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.

Day 7

Today, we will have a full day game drive with picnic lunch in the bush to explore the reserves’ amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. Day 8

After breakfast, we pass by a Maasai Cultural Village to learn how they live, later on; proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at the lodge.

The highest of all the Rift Valley lakes, Lk. Naivasha is a beautiful shallow freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus reeds. The waters of the lake draw great array of bird life to its shoreline. Buffalo wallow in the swamps, whilst the large hippo population laze their days in the shallows. Giraffe wander among the acacia, whilst the Colobus monkeys swing from the green canopies above.

Lunch followed by a sundowner boat ride along the lake that is home to more than 150 different birds, from the predatory Fish Eagle to the Glossy Startling. Back to our lodge before the hippos step out. Overnight is at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort – Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 9

Naivasha-Nairobi- 110km – 1 ½ hrs
Nairobi-Amboseli- 250Km- 4hrs

After breakfast at the lodge, we drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at the camp…

Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts -lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.

Day 10

An early morning game drive allows you to become better acquainted with Amboseli and its wildlife. Wherever you travel within the park you will remain under the watchful gaze of the imposing Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, we will leave our camp after breakfast, with picnic lunches for a full day game drive in the park.

Lunch will then be served at the Observation Hill with a bird’s eye view of Amboseli National Park.Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge – Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 11

After an early morning breakfast and check out by 7:30am, do a game drive game drive en route to Namanga border arriving around 1100am (Approximately 80km/1 hour) for immigration formalities. We the exchange vehicles and meet out Tanzania Guide and proceed to Arusha (2hours drive) arriving time for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge and the after lunch drive to Tarangire National Park (129km) -2hrs passing through small Masai village and different landscape . Balance of the afternoon at leisure, to relax as you absorb your surroundings or you may go for an evening game drive. Day 12

Full day game drives in the park with picnic lunches. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. In the dry season large numbers of animals congregate along the lifeblood of the river. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. In addition to the animal species, the park is famous for its century-old baobab trees and over 300 species of birds. Day 13

The most famous and largest of Tanzania’s national parks is the Serengeti. The Serengeti ecosystem extends beyond the national park to include several other conservation areas and reserves, including the Masai Mara in Kenya. It is through these extensive protected areas that a million or more wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra and gazelles complete their great circulatory migration in search of green pasture. Where there is such a large mobile meat supply there are predators and Serengeti is renowned for its impressive lion sightings. Silver-backed jackals, spotted hyenas, cheetah, eagles and vultures are also avid consumers of this endless source of meat and little goes to waste.

Serengeti means ‘endless plains’ in Masai language. Much of the landscape comprises vast open savannahs dotted with acacia trees and few rocky hillocks. The park hosts a vast variety of wildlife including buffaloes, giraffe, elephant, various herbivores and of course large prides of lion and other cats whose numbers are sustained by the continual supply of meal tickets of the four legged variety.

After breakfast, you will drive to the famous Serengeti National Park, Enjoy your game drive with a packed lunch, later in the afternoon and after an exciting day in the park; you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge- Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 14

Enjoy breakfast on the open plains before spending a full day game viewing in the Serengeti. It’s not unusual to find twenty to thirty lion in a single pride resting under the shade of acacia tree! The annual wildebeest migration is the greatest wildlife show on earth with several millions of wildebeest and zebra trekking north to the Masai Mara while the cheetah and hunting dogs follow closely behind. An optional extra hot air Balloon ride over the Serengeti is the greatest game viewing experience of a lifetime, crusing at a treetop level over herds of wildebeest and zebra summing up with a magnificent champagne breakfast on the savannah. Day 15

Wake up at 0600hours for early morning game drives in Serengeti. Return to the lodge for breakfast around 0830hrs and later, continue to Ngorongoro Crater where two thousand foot walls surround a cater floor covering just over one hundred square miles. Arrive at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge which is built in to the crater rim, where you can spend the afternoon game viewing from the comfort of your balcony. Day 16

Ngorongoro crater is a natural amphitheatre created about 2 million years ago when the cone of a volcano collapsed into itself, leaving a 100sq. mile cauldron-like cavity. This caldera, protected by a circular unbroken 2,000 foot high rim, contains everything necessary for Africa’s wildlife to exist and thrive. Game viewing vehicles descend the steep crater wall every morning and spend the day on grass plains that are teeming with animals. Predators such as lion, spotted hyena, leopard, jackal and cheetah lord over a domain that swarms with zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and other herbivores.
Tanzania’s few remaining black rhino are regularly sighted in the crater, as are large herds of buffalo. In the lake on the crater floor and in the Ngoitokitok swamps, reside plenty of hippos who remain particularly submerged during the day and graze on grass at night. The stunning pink flamingo is also resident at the Crater

Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 0730hours drive to Ngorongoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for game drives.

All the Big five Rhino Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more…Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more.. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring Picnic sites it will be an unforgettable experience. After lunch proceed with game viewing while ascending the Crater and drive to Arusha Serena Lodge where you booked for the night bed and breakfast basis

Day 17
