Itinerary
Your Tour starts with the drive to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s fifth largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. Overnight at a campsite at Tarangire. Packed lunch and dinner included.
After breakfast you drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, hippo and others. Overnight at a campsite at Lake Manyara. All meals included.
From Lake Manyara you drive towards one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in the world. First you reach for a short walk a the Naabi Hill Kopjes (huge granite boulders) where you can go for a short walk. After lunch you continue on game drives all afternoon at the vast Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous game reserves worldwide and named after the ancient Masai word ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains. Overnight at a Seronera campsite at Serengeti. All meals included.
A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Overnight at Seronera campsite at Serengeti. All meals included.
Early morning game drive at Serengeti followed by a visit at the hippo pools and the Seronera Visitors Center. After breakfast in the bush you proceed with game driving till afternoon before you return to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The Ngorongoro Crater with its 600 m high walls and 20 km width is a natural marvel. The Crater’s rim offers spectacular views, but the true scale of this caldera is only appreciated from the floor itself where the abundance of its animal inhabitants becomes apparent. It is home to nearly every species of African animal and offers a chance to view an incredible concentration of East African mammals, such as elephant, rhino, buffalo, hippo, lion and plain’s game. En route you can visit a Masai Village (additional cost ).

After breakfast you towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After arrival around 11:00 h you descend into the Crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch on the crater Floor. Ngorongoro Crater is often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the Big Five can be spotted during one game drive only. Overnight at a campsite at Ngorongoro. All meals included.
Depending on your onward journey schedule you can do some activities in the morning such as walking in the forest of Ngorongoro following the Endoro Trail to the waterfall and elephant caves (additional ** USD p/p), visiting the lively farmers market of Karatu or do some souvenir shopping in Mto wa Mbu. Then, your private safari guide will take you back to Arusha with arrival in the afternoon. Breakfast and lunch included.
